Friday 14 September 7.00pm
Mama Red & the Dark Blues are bringing you not one, not two, but three brand spankin’ new tunes on the 14th of September, so make sure you’re strapped into your seats because these ones are pure hard hitting harmony.
If you’re in for a heapin’ helpin’ of country influenced heartstring tuggers you’ve come to the right place. Mama Red will be calling out to the sister circle with new tales of darkness and destiny. The tunes speak of fear and fierceness, redemption and rebirth and painful, radical truth. Beware – Mama Red is coming at you with raw emotion on her sleeve this night, and she will lay bare her history for your voyeuristic listening pleasure.
We’re stripping it back this time to feature heavy vocal harmonies… if the Dixie Chicks and Nick Cave had a love child, she would almost certainly be a Dark Blue. Harry Deluxe, Melanie Bainbridge & Therese Cruise are backed by the incredible Dark Blues Band: Gregory Brenton on drums, Almore James on guitar, and John Wilson on bass. When this demonic posse get to wailing, better call the sheriff, because all hell is breaking loose.
